Ombudsman

The Ombudsman Bureau serves as a neutral source of information, helping to explain the Workers’ Compensation Act to workers, employers, and other stakeholders. The bureau assists self-represented (pro se) workers with filing forms, provides educational materials, and engages in community outreach.

Ombudsmen cannot help any party represented by an attorney, nor can they help with any claim that is in the formal adjudication phase.

The WCA offers ombudsman services in each of our field offices throughout the state. To speak to an ombudsman free of charge, please call our toll-free number 1-866-967-5667. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. If you would like to speak to an ombudsman in your local area, please visit or call a WCA field office.
